West Islip 6, Sachem North 5: Emily Bouros hit a go-ahead solo home run in the bottom of the sixth to lead No. 3 West Islip over No. 5 Sachem North in the Suffolk Class AA elimination pool. Makayla Comer hit a game tying grand slam earlier in the inning. Bouros then proceeded to get out of a bases loaded, one-out jam in the top of the seventh with two of her seven strikeouts. West Islip (17-8) will face No. 1 North Babylon 4 p.m. Friday in the next round.
