Sachem East 8, Whitman 1: Olivia DeRose struck out eight in a complete game to lead No. 10 Sachem East (11-8) over No. 15 Whitman (10-10) in the loser's bracket of the Suffolk Class AA playoffs. Camryn Ribaudo went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases in one at-bat in the third inning. Deanna Reimo went 3-for-4, and Sloane Basset had a two RBI double in the second inning. Amanda Madigan went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and drove in Emma Rondinella with a hit in the third inning.
