Seaford 3, Island Trees 0: Skyler Secondino threw a complete game no-hitter to lead Seaford (7-8) over Island Trees (2-12-1). "Skyler really came in hitting her spots," Seaford coach Joseph Nastasi said. "The biggest thing for her is her understanding of the game at a deeper level; starting to understand how to throw certain pitches with intent and trying to use a pitch to set up the execution of an out, rather than just looking to consistently throw strikes." Secondino only walked one and struck out 10 in her seven innings pitched. She also went 3-for-3 at the plate with two doubles and a triple. "Skyler does her homework, prepares for each start and showed today she is growing not only as a pitcher, but on the mental side of the game as well," Nastasi said.
