Massapequa 12, East Meadow 1: Massapequa scored first in the bottom of the first off a RBI sac fly by Mary Stork scoring Ryan Starr as No. 1 Massapequa defeated No. 2 East Meadow in game 1 of the Nassau AA Championship game. Massapequa scored another run in the bottom of the third as Starr led off the inning with a double and Emily Balducci drove her in with a single. Amanda Panaro started the bottom of the fourth with a single, both Katie Stork and Sofia Diesso bunted for a base hit loading the bases for Ryan Starr who hit a sac fly, scoring one run. Emily Balducci hit a single scoring two more runs. Katie Stork lead off the bottom of the sixth with a bunt single, Sofia Diesso doubles to left field, Ryan Starr doubles scoring both runners. Mary Stork singles driving in a run. Kim Westenberg hit a two run homer. Massapequa drew four walks and a hit by pitch scoring two more runs. Westenberg threw a complete game allowing one earned run on three hits with six strikeouts. Game 2 will be played Saturday at Mitchel Field with a 12:30 p.m start time.
