Bethpage vs Plainedge

Plainedge 3, Bethpage 1: Kiara Gaghan and Leah Fitzpatrick each hit a home run in No. 6 Plainedge's win over No. 11 Bethpage in the first round of the Nassau Class A playoffs. Kiara Gaghan give Plainedge their first run with a home run in the fourth. Avery Linn broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the fifth with a double that scored Julia DeMicco and put Plainedge up 2-1. Fitzpatrick homered in sixth to give Plainedge a 3-1 lead. Natalie Wescott had 16 strikeouts. Plainedge (11-6) will face the winner of No. 3 Division/ No. 14 South side on Thursday at 4:30 pm.
