Island Trees 13, Wantagh 0: Alannah Basile pitched a no-hitter through six innings, allowing only three baserunners, while striking out 10 and walking one for Island Trees (9-3) in Conference A-I. Basile also went 3-for-4, with two RBIs. Ashley Melendez was 3-for-4, with two homers, a triple, five RBIs and three runs. Tori Tedeschi went 2-for-4, with a homer, an RBI and two runs. With the victory, the Bulldogs clinched a share of the conference title with Plainedge, as well as the No. 2 seed in the Nassau Class A playoffs, according to coach Mike Bonsignore.
