West Babylon 9, Eastport-South Manor 8: Olivia Vergano scored 1 minute, three seconds into overtime to propel No. 2 West Babylon past top seeded Eastport-South Manor in the Suffolk Class B girls lacrosse final on Wednesday. Vergano got past her defender and fired into upper right corner of the cage. She totaled two goals and one assist. Lacey Downey scored each of her four goals in the second half and assisted on one of her sister Ellie's two first half goals. The Eagles (13-4) will face the winner of Thursday's Nassau Class B title game between No. 1 Garden City/No. 2 South Side on Saturday at Noon at Bethpage in the Long Island Class B final. (edited)
