The Pirates were down 4-2 heading into the second half and were soon down 7-5 midway through regulation. With five minutes remaining, Heller tied the score at 7. After Heller scored the go-ahead, Jamie Maddaluno won three of her five draw controls to keep the ball with the Pirates. Sarah Weggeland made two of her six saves in the final minutes to preserve the win. Heller scored three goals and Maddaluno added two.
