Fernandez also tied the score at 8 with 12 seconds left in regulation. Chiamaka Ubani added two goals and one assist. Janae Nelson had 10 saves for the Spartans. Elmont will visit No. 3 Long Beach in the quarterfinals Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
