HIGHLIGHTS
Olivia Russell scored three goals, including the winner on a free position with 2:42 left in the second overtime to lift No. 3 Sayville over second-seeded Huntington, 14-13, yesterday in a Suffolk Class B girls lacrosse semifinal. Huntington’s Irina Desimone scored with 1:24 left in the first overtime, and Julianne Johnston (six goals) tied it at 13 with six seconds left for Sayville (13-4). The Golden Flashes rallied from down 12-9 in the second half and Katie Wandelt’s second goal tied it at 12 with 2:04 left in regulation. Molly Andrews made 13 saves, including three in the final 35 seconds of regulation for Sayville. Katie Reilly had five goals and two assists for Huntington. Sayville faces Eastport-South Manor in a rematch of last year’s final on May 29, 5 p.m. at Dowling.
