Wantagh 5, Garden City 3: Patrick Willix hit a two-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to break a tie and earn the win for No. 1 Wantagh (21-2) over No. 8 Garden City in the semifinals of the Nassau Class A playoffs. Mason McLane hit a two-run single in the fourth inning to put Wantagh up 3-1. Garden City's Michael Rasquin hit a sac-fly in the fifth inning to tie the score at 3. McLane pitched four innings in relief to earn the save giving up one run. Wantagh will face either MacArthur or Division in the finals, Saturday, at SUNY-Old Westbury.
