HIGHLIGHTS
Connetquot 11, Smithtown East 3: Matt Brown-Eiring hit a three-run home run and Chris Amato hit a solo home run to lead No. 9 Connetquot (15-8) over No. 1 Smithtown East in the third round of the Suffolk AA playoffs. Derek Yalon added a two-run triple as Connetquot opened a 7-1 lead after three innings. Alex Ungar earned the win, pitching five innings, allowing three runs on seven hits, striking out four and walking two. Pete Montana earned the save, entering the game in the bottom of the sixth inning, allowing no runs on one hit, striking out one and walking one. Connetquot faces No. 17 Bay Shore in the fourth round on Monday, May 21 at 4 p.m at Connetquot High School.
