HIGHLIGHTS
Southold 3, Mercy 1 - F/11: Brendan Duffy hit a two-out two-run double in the top of the 11th inning, scoring Billy Burns and Luke Hansen to lead No. 3 Southold (11-10) over No. 2 Mercy in the first round of the Suffolk Class C playoffs. Duffy earned the win, pitching three innings, entering the game in the bottom of the ninth inning, allowing one unearned run on two hits, striking out four and walking one. Hansen started the game, pitching eight innings and striking out 18. Southold faces No. 1 Pierson in the second round on Tuesday, May 22 at Pierson High School.
