Longwood 6, Half Hollow Hills East 5: Kyle Rausch hit a three-run go-ahead home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to lead No. 6 Longwood (17-6) over No. 11 Half Hollow Hills East in an elimination game of the Suffolk Class AA playoffs. Jose Matos went 2-for-3 with one run scored and one RBI. Danny Owens earned the win, pitching three innings, allowing no runs on no hits, striking out four and walking one. Longwood faces No. 3 Commack in the first round on Saturday, May 19 at Commack High School at 1 p.m.
