HIGHLIGHTS
Miller Place 3, Hauppauge 2: Jerry Diaz went 1-for-2 with an RBI single to drive in Steven Patterson in the bottom of the first inning to lead No. 4 Miller Place (14-6) over No. 5 Hauppauge in the first round of the Suffolk Class A playoffs. Patterson went 2-for-3 with a run scored and one RBI. Tom Nealis earned the win, pitching seven innings, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out 11 and walking none. Nick Sellitto hit a solo home in the top of the sixth inning for Hauppauge. Miller Place faces No. 1 Shoreham-Wading River in the second round on Saturday, May 19 at Shoreham-Wading River High School.
