Division 4, Hewlett 1: Jason Melgar went 2-for-3 including an RBI triple in the bottom of the third inning in the to lead No. 1 Division (17-3) over No. 4 Hewlett in the first round of the Nassau Class A playoffs. Matt Cavanagh went 1-for-2 with two runs scored and three stolen bases. Nick Fressle earned the win, pitching seven innings, allowing no earned runs on four hits, striking out five and one walk in a total of 68 pitches.
