MacArthur 9, Island Trees 1: Brandon Buchan struck out nine over six innings and Joe Ricciardi pitched the final inning to combine for a no-hitter for No. 1 MacArthur (16-3-1) over No. 4 Island Trees in the first round of the Nassau A playoffs. Ricciardi also went 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Ryan Wall had two doubles and an RBI for the Generals. MacArthur will host Plainedge in the second round Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
