Division 1, Plainedge 0: Hunter Traenkle's one-out, RBI ground-out scored Brandon O'Brien in top of the third inning to lead No. 11 Division over No. 3 Plainedge in the first game of a Nassau A quarterfinal series. Joe Wolf struck out seven and allowed no hits in 4 and 2/3 innings to earn the win. Chris Rzemieniewski surrendered one hit in the final 2 and 1/3 innings of relief, and ended the fifth with a bases-loaded strikeout. Plainedge hosts Game 2 Saturday at noon.
