Sayville 5, Islip 4: Jack Sheridan hit a single to drive home Brock Murtha in the 11th inning to break a tie and give No. 2 Sayville the win over No. 6 Islip in the first round of the Elimination Bracket. Murtha hit a two-run homer in the first inning to lead Sayville by two. He then hit a leadoff game-tying homer in the seventh to tie the score at 4. Murtha hit a single to lead the 11th. He stole second and moved to third off a fly ball by Joe Zoller. Murtha finished going 4-for-5 with three RBIs, two home runs, a double, a stolen base and four runs scores. Sayville will play No. 3 Rocky Point on Friday.
