Bellport 5, Smithtown West 3: Ryan Kane singled in Matt Mulligan and Will Romano with two out in the bottom of the sixth to break a tie at 3 and lead No. 6 Bellport (15-6) over No. 11 Smithtown West in a Suffolk AA first round game. Ryan Baumann went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and Anthony Jacabacci threw a four-hitter with five strikeouts and three walks and retired 12 of the last 13 batters he faced. Bellport hosts Patchogue-Medford in the second round tomorrow.
