Ward Melville 3, Patchogue-Medford 2: Down 2-1 in the top of the sixth, Andrew Schelberg hit a sacrifice-fly to score Mike Miller and then Nick Vitale hit an RBI-single to score Joe Flynn and give Ward Melville (7-4) the win in League I. Vitale went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Kevin Wiltse pitched one and one-third innings in relief, striking out four of four batters to earn the win. Chris Cepeda pitched the seventh to earn his first save of the season.
