Hewlett 3, Carey 2: Matt Kohn scored on Dillon Ristano's ground ball to second in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Hewlett (6-2) the win in Nassau A-II. Kohn walked to lead off the inning, advanced to second on a bunt single by Chris Rodriguez, and moved to third after catcher's interference. Jesse Metz's two-out single in the bottom of the seventh scored Jason Barry to tie the game at 2 and force extra innings. Barry stole second with two-outs in the inning to move into scoring position. Matt Kim pitched 5.2 innings, allowed three hits, two runs, and struck out eight and Barry pitched 2.1 scoreless innings of relief, struck out four, and allowed one hit to earn the win for Hewlett.
