Smithtown West 5, Riverhead 4: Nick Trabacchi had a two-out RBI single in the fourth inning to give Smithtown West a 5-2 lead in its Suffolk III opener. Trabacchi struck out four and walked a batter in 5 1/3 innings to record the win and Mike Petagna got the final two outs to get the save. Sean Mulhall went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Smithtown West.
