Northport 6, West Islip 3: Nick Palmerini pitched a complete game six-hitter with 11 strikeouts and one walk to lead No. 8 Northport (20-7) over No. 2 West Islip in Game 2 of the Suffolk AA finals. Jake McCarthy went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and a home run, Joe Stockman went 2-for-4 with two runs, a RBI and a stolen base, Frank Stola went 1-for-3 with a run and two RBIs and George Sutherland went 1-for-4 with a RBI. Northport will travel to West Islip Wednesday at 4:00 for final game of the series.
