Northport 7, Smithtown West 0: Tom Neary went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer in the third to give No. 8 Northport a 7-0 lead in its Suffolk AA semifinal win over No. 5 Smithtown West. Nick Palmerini pitched six innings with no earned runs, eight strikeouts, three hits and two walks. George Sutherland went 2-for-2 with a run and two RBIs, Matt Lindley went 2-for-3 with a run, a RBI and a stolen base and Joe Stockman went 2-for-4 with two runs. Northport (19-6) will travel to No. 2 West Islip Saturday at noon for game 1 of the Suffolk AA finals.
