HIGHLIGHTS
Northport 5, Bay Shore 3: Nick Palmerini tossed a six-hitter with three walks, nine strikeouts and three earned runs to lead No. 8 Northport over No. 1 Bay Shore in the Suffolk AA playoffs. George Sutherland went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run in the first inning and Dan Heller went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in the fourth inning. Brian Weissert tossed a three-hitter for Bay Shore. Northport advances to the Suffolk AA semifinals Monday at 4 p.m.
