HIGHLIGHTS
Sachem North 4, Kings Park 0: Chris Lollo walked the lead-off batter in the first inning, and two more in the fifth of a Suffolk AA outbracket game. But those were the only runners the Sachem North junior would allow all game as Lollo tossed the first postseason no-hitter by a Sachem pitcher since Eric Reichenbach in 1987 according to assistant coach Gary Comstock (who was a shortstop on that team). Christian Jimenez (3 RBIs) was 2-for-3, including a 2-out, 2-run double as North led 2-0 after three. Alex Rosati was 3-for-3 with two runs scored as North (11-9) added a run in each of the fifth and sixth innings. Lollo faced 24 batters and threw 85 pitches with five strikeouts and three walks. "He had everything working," said Comstock of Lollo. "He had a good fastball, curveball and change-up. He kept them off-balance all day." Lollo was also 1-for-3 at the plate for No. 14 Sachem North which faces Smithtown East on Monday. Kings Park, the No. 19 seed, finishes 10-11.
