Mepham vs Calhoun

Calhoun 5, Mepham 4: Thanks to a wide throw home, Dylan Hughes scored on a fielders choice in the bottom of the ninth to lift Calhoun in Nassau AA-III. Hughes pitched three no-hit innings and struck out five in relief to earn the win. Rob Backus allowed three runs on nine hits and struck out six in six innings. Backus hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the first for Calhoun (11-2). Jake Gargiulo went 2-for-4 with a triple, run, and a RBI.
