Wheatley 8, Malverne 0: James McPhillips tossed a one-hitter in his first varsity start with seven strikeouts and no walks for Wheatley (11-3) in Conference BC. The junior allowed a hit in the fifth inning. Brian Doria (2-for-3) hit a two-run homer, followed by a solo blast from Will Feil (2-for-3) as Wheatley scored four times in the fourth inning to break open a scoreless tie. Brandon Rothstein was 1-for-1 with a double, sac fly, and three RBIs.
