HIGHLIGHTS
Pierson/Bridgehampton 9, Stony Brook 0: James Sherry, Cooper Schiavoni and Jonathan Severance combined to throw a no-hitter for Pierson/Bridgehampton in the Suffolk VIII opener. Sherry earned the win, striking out 13 in five innings. He allowed a walk in the third. Schiavoni and Severance each threw an inning to complete the no-hitter. Sam Warne went 2-for-4 with a double, three runs and two stolen bases.
