Plainedge 6, North Shore 5: Richie Whalen hit a two-out three-run double in the bottom of the seventh to lead No. 7 Plainedge (18-7) over No. 3 North Shore in game two of Nassau A best-of-3 semifinal. Plainedge trailed 5-0 after the first inning. Jimmy Mendyk went 3-for-4 with a home run and two runs for Plainedge. Game three will be at North Shore on Thursday at 4:30pm.
