Manhasset 10, Flroal Park 9: Joe Enea's RBI single scored Matt Catalfo to give No. 13 Manhasset (15-8) a 10-8 lead in the top of the seventh during its Nassau Class A fifth round win over No. 5 Floral Park. Robert Giovanelli recored the final nine outs in relief, pitching the fifth, sixth and seven innings, allowing two earned runs on four hits, striking out one and walking two for the victory. Giovanelli's strike out ended the ballgame with the tying run at second. Anthony Vieto went 2-for-4, with a double, four RBIs and a run scored. Joe Santella went 2-for-3, with two RBIs. Manhasset advances to the Nassau Class A semifinals, where it will take on top-seeded Division, in Game 1 of the best-of-three series at noon Memorial Day at Division.
