Oceanside 4, Mepham 2: Kyle Martin escaped a two-out bases loaded jam in the bottom of the seventh by bare handing a ground ball up the middle and getting the putout at first to lead No. 5 Oceanside (16-7) over No. 4 Mepham in the deciding game of a Nassau AA quarterfinal. Martin threw a five-hitter with 15 strikeouts and one earned run and went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs. Mike Siklas went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Oceanside will play No. 6 Syosset in the semifinals.
