Half Hollow Hills East 11, Sachem East 2: Mike Palazzolo went 3-for-4, with a solo homer, a double, two RBIs and three runs scored for No. 10 Half Hollow Hills East (15-7) in its Suffolk Class AA second round win over No. 7 Sachem East. Matt Hogan went 1-for-3, with three RBIs. Patch Dooley pitched five innings, allowing an earned run on four hits, striking out seven and walking five for the victory. Half Hollow Hills East advances to the championship round, where it will take on Connetquot, at 4 p.m. Thursday at Connetquot.
