East Islip 4, Commack 2: Brendan Dowd's RBI double gave No. 6 East Islip a 2-0 lead in the first inning of its win over No. 6 East Islip (17-5) over No. 11 Commack in the second round of the Suffolk Class AA playoffs. The Redmen (17-5) never trailed, and Anthony Visconte threw a six-hitter with eight strikeouts, two walks and two earned runs to earn the win. East Islip will play at No. 3 Hauppauge Thursday at 4 p.m.
