Smithtown West 5, West Islip 4: Vinny Tulley hit a two-run single to give No. 9 Smithtown West (16-5) a 5-4 lead in the fifth inning of its win over No. 14 West Islip in the first round of the Suffolk AA playoffs. Smithtown West's Rob Tammaro hit an RBI single earlier in the fifth that made the score 4-3 West Islip. Tammaro also pitched 5 2/3 innings, struck out two, walked two and allowed five hits. Brandon LaManna recorded the final four outs to earn the save.
