Wheatley 8, Malverne 0: Senior Mike Carney threw the first no-hitter of his career to lead Wheatley (7-3) in Conference BC. Carney struck out 12 and allowed two walks, both of which came in the second inning. "He seemed to get better as the game went on," Wheatley coach Paul Paino said. "He got into better counts and had better control." Carney struck out 18 and allowed three hits in his previous start, against Carle Place on April 27. Johnny Karikas opened Wheatley's scoring with a suicide squeeze in the fourth, and Andrew Hastings, who went 2-for-5, hit a grand slam to cap the eight-run inning.
