Shoreham-Wading River 8, Amityville 0: Brian Morrell pitched a no-hitter, striking out 16 in seven innings to help improve Shoreham-Wading River to 7-4 in League VII. Morrell's only blemish came in the fourth inning, when he surrendered a walk to John Jack on a full count. "He was mixing his pitches really well, and had probably his best stuff of the year," coach Kevin Willy said. "The biggest thing was his approach as the game progressed. He stayed cool and composed, even with a no-hitter on the line." Morrell also went 2 for 4 with two RBIs.
