Amityville 6, East Hampton 5: Mike Trant recorded the final out on a swinging strikeout, stranding the tying run on third base, to lead Amityville (1-8) in its League VII win. Trant pitched a six-hitter, allowing three earned runs, striking out 10 and walking two for the victory. Tom Gonzales' RBI single, scoring Harly Davis, gave Amityville a 6-3 lead in the bottom of the sixth. Gonzalez went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Warriors coach Chris Diot said the win marked the first victory for Amityville in three years.
