Roosevelt 4, West Hempstead 3: Greg Thornton's RBI fielder's choice scored Justin Gietchier with the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth inning during Roosevelt's (6-1) county-wide win. Kelvin Rodriguez's two-run homer brought the Rough Riders to within one in the top of the fourth. Rodriguez later tied the score at three on an RBI single by Gietchier in the sixth. Danis Rodriguez picked up his third win in relief, pitching three scoreless innings, allowing a hit, striking out five and walking two for the victory.
