Oceanside 8, Calhoun 5: Justin Krokoff's RBI single in the seventh gave Oceanside a 6-5 lead in their non-league opener. Mike Siklas' two RBI single earlier in the inning tied the game at 5. Kyle Martin went 2-for-3 with a double, a stolen base and an RBI. Martin yielded one hit and struck out two in the seventh to earn the save. Matt Ferraro, who started for the Sailors, gave up three earned run in four innings and struck out five.
