Center Moriches 9, Mattituck 3: Michael Colombi allowed two earned runs on seven hits, striking out nine and walking two for second-seeded Center Moriches (14-6) in its Game 2 win of the Suffolk Class B finals over top-seeded Mattituck. Anthony Maag's two-run double scored Ryan Vetack and Kevin O'Brien with the go-ahead runs to make it 4-3 Red Devils in a seven-run bottom of the sixth. Colombi's RBI triple scored Daniel Franchi to cap the inning's scoring with Center Moriches leading by the game's final margin. A winner-take-all Game 3 of the series is scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday at Mattituck.
