Plainview JFK 5, Calhoun 3: Vinny Ruggiero went 3-for-3 with a solo homer as No. 5 Plainview JFK beat No. 4 Calhoun in the second game of a Class AA quarterfinal and clinched the three game series. Ruggiero's RBI single in the fifth gave Plainview JFK (18-4) a 5-3 lead. Nate Schor, a second baseman, made a diving catch ranging to his left with the bases loaded in the seventh to preserve the win.
