Lindenhurst 7, West Babylon 2: David Kettell's two-run double scored John McCaffrey and Dom Navarro to give No. 12 Lindenhurst (14-7) a 4-2 lead in the top of the second en route to its Suffolk Class AA first round win over No. 5 West Babylon (15-6). Kettell was 3-for-4 with two doubles, three RBIs and a run. Scott Barany went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run. Zach Wilkins scattered four hits, allowing two earned runs, striking out two and walking one for his sixth win on the season. The Bulldogs play the winner of No. 4 Kings Park/No. 13 East Islip in the second round at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
