Hicksville 3, Massapequa 2: Matt Tsotras scored the go-ahead run on a double steal in the bottom of the fourth inning to give No. 3 Hicksville (14-3-2) a 3-2 lead and the eventual win in Game 1 of the Nassau Class AA quarterfinals against No. 6 Massapequa. Michael Reilly's fielder's choice with the bases loaded tied the score at two. Reilly allowed six hits and no earned runs, striking out six and walking two for the victory. Griffin Sullivan's two-out two-run double gave the Chiefs their first lead at 2-1 in the top of the third. The Comets visit Massapequa for Game 2 in the best-of-three series at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday.
