Eastport-South Manor 3, Northport 2: Brady McGowan hit a tying two-run home run in the fifth and scored the winning run on an error with two outs in the bottom of the seventh of No. 1 Eastport-South Manor's win over No. 9 Northport in the second round of the Suffolk Class AA double elimination playoffs. McGowan went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a stolen base. Mason Gatchalian went 2-for-4 with a double. Gabe Sikora struck out five and allowed one earned run and four hits in a complete game. Eastport-South Manor (20-1) will host the winner of No. 4 Hauppauge/No. 5 East Islip in the third round at 4 p.m. on Friday. Northport (11-9) will play an elimination game on Friday.
