Oceanside 4, Farmingdale 3: Richie Conte scored with two outs on a throwing error to force extra innings before Jack Albenda's ground-rule double in the ninth inning helped set up a three-run inning to win the game for No. 7 Oceanside against No. 2 Farmingdale in Game 2 of the Nassau Class AAA quarterfinal round. Albenda went 2-for-2 with a run. Brad Albenda earned the win with one walk and one strikeout across one inning. Jake Ganulin started and allowed eight hits and three runs over eight innings with three strikeouts. Jariel Nunez had an infield single in the ninth inning. Lorenzo Cimino allowed one hit and one unearned run across seven innings, striking out eight and issuing two walks for Farmingdale (15-6-1), which had nine hits as a team. Oceanside (5-14-2) will travel to Farmingdale for Game 3 of the series Tuesday at 5 p.m.
