Carle Place 7, Oyster Bay 6: Tyler Marquart circled the bases to score the tying run in the bottom of the fifth inning and Philip Bunt scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth to lead Carle Place (1-1) in Nassau B. Bunt went 3-for-3 with a triple, two RBIs and two runs scored. Logan Fraine went 1-for-3 with an RBI. Ryan Kang pitched a scoreless top of the sixth inning with the game tied, 6-6, giving the Frogs the chance to score the winning run in the bottom half of the frame. Tommy Schoch started the game, striking out three over 4 1/3 innings, and Michael Tucholski retired two hitters while pitching in relief. Anthony Scheidet went 2-for-4 with a triple and four RBIs while Ethan Ruff went 2-for-4 with two runs scored for Oyster Bay (0-1).
