HIGHLIGHTS
Eastport-South Manor 7, East Hampton 6: Mason Gatchalian hit a walk-off double to drive in Gabe Sikora from first base as No. 1 Eastport-South Manor defeated No. 4 East Hampton (15-5) in the second round of the Suffolk Class AA playoffs. Gatchalian went 2-for-3 and Brady McGowan went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Thomas Gubitosi had a two-run single to give Eastport-South Manor a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the second inning. Joey Gubitosi followed with an RBI single. Sikora notched his first varsity win, allowing two hits over four scoreless innings of relief for Eastport-South Manor (22-0). The Sharks host No. 2 East Islip in a Suffolk Class A semifinal on Monday at noon.
