Eastport-South Manor 11, Half Hollow Hills West 10: Connor Minihane hit a walk-off single with two outs in the bottom of the 11th inning to lead No. 1 Eastport-South Manor over No. 8 Half Hollow Hills West in the first round of the Suffolk Class AA playoffs. Nick Lawrence had a two-out walk, advanced to second on a wild pitch and scored the winning run. ESM trailed 8-3 in the bottom of the sixth inning and 8-7 going into the seventh inning. It scored on an error to tie it at 8 in the bottom of the seventh. It trailed 10-8 in the bottom of the 10th inning, but Joey Gubitosi hit a two-out, two-run single to tie the game at 10. ESM (21-0) will host No. 4 East Hampton at 4 p.m. Thursday in the winners bracket. Hills West (10-11) will visit No. 5 Smithtown West at 4 p.m. Thursday in an elimination game.
